A film by Stefano Sollima
With: Pierfrancesco Favino, Toni Servillo, Valerio Mastandrea, Adriano Giannini, Emilio Franchini, Marzio El Moety
A dark story of revenge and redemption, which will be the last chapter of Stefano Sollima’s Roman criminal trilogy.

Our Review: *

Just another Mafia film, whose main originality is to transform Pierfrancesco Favino (more interesting in the opening film) into a hybrid between Bruce Willis and a Russian villain in a Luc Besson co-production, and whose main quality is to keep a complex plot open until the final revelation – we won’t reveal the identity of the big bad behind it all – without reaching any heights of intensity. In addition to its attachment to the codes of Mafia films (and thrillers in general), the film also ventures a little on the formal level, attempting to metaphorize the end of a Roman world, without much poetry or finesse, but with a certain success in terms of creating an appropriate atmosphere.
