3 continents: 143 rue du désert and Öndög great winners

The closing ceremony of the 3 continents festival took place last night in the great hall of the Grand T Theatre in Nantes completely filled for the occasion. The prize list was unveiled at the end of the screening of The Photographer by Ritesh Batra, around 22H.

This year, nine films competed to get an award. After the screening of The Photographer by Ritesh Batra at the Grand T theater in Nantes, the jury of this 41st edition awarded the following prizes :

MONTGOLFIÈRE D’OR

sponsored by the City of Nantes and the festival accompanied by a prize of 6,000 euros

ÖNDÖG  by WANG Quan’an feature / 100’ / DCP / /MONGOLIA / 2019

MONTGOLFIÈRE D’ARGENT

sponsored by the Loire-Atlantique Departmental Council and the festival accompanied by a prize of 4,000 euros

143 SAHARA STREET  by Hassen FERHANI documentary/ 104’ / DCP / ALGERIA / 2019

SPECIAL MENTION OF THE JURY

TANTAS ALMAS  by Nicolás RINCÓN GILLE  feature/ 132’ / DCP / COLOMBIA / 2019

THE YOUNG JURY

This jury is composed of five young people from Nantes: Loreleï Boignet, Esther Vanovertveld, Louis Delaune, Al-Ansar Idjabou et Sahra Cherifi, between 18 and 23. This jury awarded a prize sponsored by the festival among the films in competition.
