A naturalistic film that seeks to blur the boundary between document and fiction. In the manner of an alenti road movie, the film shows us areas that are not usually filmed, and people who are filmed relatively little, almost naked, when it comes to showing their beliefs and their relationship with the animals they want to save thanks to the young girl. In France, too, many people are prepared to go to great lengths to look after the welfare of their animals, and some vets treat animals using alternative methods. Here, the young girl resorts to an alleged gift of clairvoyance. The story won’t say whether this gift is real or not, as the process is used to paint two portraits: that of a family on the road, in a truck, trying to survive by setting up a theatrical ritual; without being accused of wanting to take advantage of credulity – the filmmaker’s point of view is totally removed, leaving the viewer alone to judge, but also that of a country, through a gallery of inhabitants, but also of animals. A simple film, showing simple relationships, which remains a complex challenge.
