The organizers of the Biennale have confirmed that the 77th edition of the Venice International Film Festival will take place from September 2 to 12, with, of course, a strict health protocol. 62 films and 15 short films will be screened in the heart of the historic Palazzo del Cinema, on the lungomare Marconi, in Venice Lido. The first echoes make us think that the international journalists on the spot will be less numerous than usual, and, we ourselves, are not sure this year to be of it …
The official selection was eagerly awaited, especially after the Cannes festival this year hinted at a very special partnership with Venice. But it seems that this wishful thinking has not necessarily been followed up in view of the selection, which promises to be more Venetian than Cannes, if we refer to the headliners.
