Oscar Winners 2020

Parasite is the big Oscar winning film – after triumphing at Cannes. It would seem that this year, to our dismay at Cannes, the voters shared the favorite of the Cannes jury – when in previous years Venice was clearly the hall of the Oscars. Not surprisingly, the statuette for best actor went to Joaquin Phoenix for his interpretation in Joker, while Renée Zellweger rose from the ashes of the 90s, and won the Oscar for best actress for her interpretation of Judy Garland, in Judy,. For the first time since their creation, a non-English-speaking film has won the most prestigious trophies. In a way that is quite logical, 1917 only collects crumbs, just like Once upon a time in Hollywood, or Ford vs Ferrari…
